Joshua’s journey into interior design began during a period of personal transformation. It was during this time that he embarked on his first home renovation, and as he reimagined his space, he discovered a powerful connection between transforming one’s environment and transforming one’s life. This revelation led him to leave a successful real estate career in Texas and follow his true calling in design. He moved to New York City to study at the New York School of Interior Design and soon began working under renowned designer Steven Gambrel.
In 2013, Joshua launched his own design firm and quickly gained recognition, being named a “Rising Star” by House Beautiful within a year. Known for his holistic approach to design, Joshua's work and insight has been featured in Veranda, Homes & Gardens, Traditional Home, and The New York Times. Today, he is regarded as a thought leader at the intersection of interior design, lifestyle, and wellness, blending beauty and purpose to create spaces that nurture well-being and foster deeper connection.
Joshua brings his expertise to projects nationwide, with a focus on the New York City Tri-State and Southern California areas, while remaining open to creative collaborations beyond these regions.
When seeking to improve the relationship between mind body and spirit, there's a tendency to overlook the role our environments play in enhancing the quality of our lives. When our homes are designed with the intention of love, light and beauty, they not only look better – they feel better. A beautiful interior is not just something we see; it is something we experience. It should engage the senses and nourish the soul.
Emerging evidence within the fields of neuroscience and neuro-aesthetics is showing what people like myself have long intuitively felt – there is link between our living spaces and our well-being. Our home environment is the very foundation to our healing, holding the power to shape who we are and how we show up in the world.
In my journey, I learned that leading a blissful life starts with figuring out what your bliss looks like. It’s also important to recognize that the vision you have for your life today may change, because you're always evolving and growing.
Interior design gives us the opportunity to reflect our growth and our vision for ourselves and our lives. When we create a space we love, it can change us – and the way we connect with one another and ourselves. I’ve witnessed firsthand, for both myself and my clients, that designing a home can mean transforming a life.
When your home is a reflection of who you are and how you want to live, it has the power to enhance your sense of purpose and bring greater joy and meaning to daily living. Our values can be brought to life and recharged in the spaces we inhabit, so that our home serves as a sanctuary of restoration and renewal – mentally, physically and spiritually – while providing us with an experience of beauty, connection and well-being.
I help my clients elevate their experience of each and every day by cultivating the connections between mind, body, spirit and space. My approach to interior design is informed by years of design experience combined with in-depth study of personal development techniques and my work as a professional certified life coach.
I begin each residential interior design project with a holistic analysis to learn more about you, your space and your vision for how you want to live. From functional to aesthetic to social considerations, this discovery phase allows us to understand and plan for how your home can play a role in supporting your vision and ensures each design decision is made to align your spirit with your space.
