7 Simple Tips That Offer Big Impact

In a world where we are always trying to find easier, faster and smarter solutions for life’s little obstacles, we often forget to keep it simple. Instead, we can get bogged down by seemingly unattainable results. Here are some of our tips to get big rewards for easy effort!Store your bed sheets inside the pillow case:Tired of trying to keep all your sheet sets together in that overflowing linen closet? Fold up those sheets tight and use one of the sets pillowcases to contain the madness. Now the sheets are easy to locate and you’ll never have to hunt that missing pillow case again.Light a few candles to enhance the mood:It doesn’t have to be a holiday or birthday to light some candles around the house. Candlelight creates beautiful lighting that makes everything (and everyone) look a little better. Just a few candles on a dinner table can create mood at dinner or help deepen your relaxation during a warm bath.  One of our favorites is to just light a bunch of candles throughout the house on a quiet evening at home.Drink more sparkling water to kick a soda habit:If you are still a regular soda drinker (I’m talking to you diet soda drinkers too) and are ready to make a healthy change, start by subbing flavored sparking waters for your favorite sugary drinks. There are plenty of naturally flavored sparkling waters out there that will satisfy your sweet tooth and give you that daily fizz.[gravityform id="11" title="false" description="false"]Make that bed:We’re always in such a rush in the morning getting ready for the day our home can look like it was hit by a tornado by the time we leave the house. Take an extra two minutes in the morning to make your bed. It is a sign to your subconscious that it’s time to start the day and it will give you a sense of peace upon returning home. Plus, the consistency and ritual of turning down the sheets every night will even help you get a better night’s sleep by mentally preparing yourself for the slumber to come.Send a thank you note:In a world of digital communication, an old fashioned thank you note can feel like a grand gesture. Instead of shooting a text or sending an email to thank a friend or family member for a thoughtful gift, take a couple of minutes to send a hand written note to let them know how much you appreciate them.Open the window:Our homes and offices can often seem stale which in return have us feeling sluggish. Stir up the flow of energy by simply opening the windows and breathing in the fresh air. We’re often stuck in doors at work and if you’re unable to sneak out for lunch or a quick walk around the block, open those windows for an instant boost. Clean up the kitchen as you cook:Don’t let the cutting boards and dishes pile up as you prepare a feast. Load the dishwasher while your dish cooks and wipe down the countertops after they are cleared. By the time you are done, your meal will be fully prepared and you will actually relax and enjoy your hard work instead of dreading the overwhelming clean up afterwards. Fresh Flowers:Pick up a bunch of your favorites at the farmers market or even at check out in the grocery store. Having fresh flowers welcoming you home or placed next to your bed when you awaken in the morning sets a happy mood. How can you not smile when you are stopping to ‘smell the roses’?
